Senior Front-End Developer

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Front-End Developer who cares deeply about performance, architecture, and code quality — and who uses agentic AI workflows to work faster and at higher leverage.

This role goes beyond typical feature work. You'll drive continuous refactoring, performance tuning, and architectural improvements across the entire project — and you won't be limited to the front-end. You'll build and refine the agentic workflows you use to do it, treating your own tooling as part of the job.

The Senior Front-End Developer will be engaged with the company as a contractor (Private Entrepreneur).

What You'll Do

• Drive performance, refactoring, and architecture improvements across the project, not just the UI layer
• Design and evolve agentic workflows to accelerate refactoring, testing, and day-to-day development
• Optimize application performance against Web Vitals and other real-user metrics
• Contribute architecture and UX ideas in product design and planning discussions
• Write scalable, reusable code in TypeScript and Tailwind CSS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of front-end experience building complex, high-load applications
• 4+ years of hands-on React
• Strong TypeScript proficiency
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and TanStack Query (React Query)
• Solid grasp of browser internals — JS engines, DOM APIs, event handling — and hands-on performance profiling/optimization
• Deep understanding of mobile-first responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience using agentic AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in real projects
• Ability to break down complex, ambiguous requirements into actionable tasks
• Strong sense of ownership and an impact-driven, outcome-focused mindset
• Comfortable with Git and Agile ways of working
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher

Nice to have

• Experience authoring or customizing AI/agent tooling — MCP servers, custom agents, prompt/workflow design
• Background in build tooling and bundle optimization (Vite, Webpack)
• Experience with observability / RUM (Sentry, Datadog, SpeedCurve, etc.)
• Contributions to a design system or shared component library
• Backend or full-stack experience
