Surgical Instrument Technician
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Instrument Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the processing and sterilization of surgical instruments within a Level 1 trauma facility.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Full-time, Night Shift: 5 x 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control policies.
- Keep accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to meet instrument needs and requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Instrument Technician.
- Certification as a Surgical Instrument Specialist: CRCST or IAHCSMM required prior to submission.
- Current Mask Fit Test required.
