Advance your physical therapy practice in an impactful, part-time school-based role located near Pecos, NM. This contract position focuses on providing onsite physical therapy services within an educational setting for the full school year. With a flexible schedule of 10-15 hours per week, you’ll have the chance to dedicate your expertise to students who need movement, mobility, and developmental support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and documentation abilities
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
- Dedication to supporting the physical development and well-being of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct onsite physical therapy services to students as prescribed in their IEPs
- Perform thorough assessments and document student progress
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement student-centered interventions
- Educate faculty, staff, and families on ways to support student mobility and participation
- Maintain required documentation and communications in accordance with school and professional guidelines
