Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license in New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain
• Strong pediatric experience, preferably within an educational setting
• Proficient in designing and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of students’ abilities and needs within the school environment
• Develop and carry out customized therapy plans addressing sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure therapy success in the classroom
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance with school and state guidelines
• Attend eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed, sharing recommendations and outcomes
• Educate staff and parents on strategies to generalize therapy gains throughout the school day
