Registered Nurse Labor & DeliveryJob Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Drive to provide the highest quality of care to laboring patients. Ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient preferences.Description: Number of Beds: 9 Labor & Delivery, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and 3 bed OBED. Patient Ratios: 1-2. Unit staffing includes unit secretary and scrub tech, dedicated CRNA and midwife in-house 24/7, and Client on call. Type of Equipment: Documentation system includes CPN and Meditech. Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per month. Floating Policy: Can float to mother-baby or outside department to task. Patient Experience Requirements: Remain above 75%. Advanced skills preferred: Spinning babies and STABLE. Procedures performed on unit: Circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, pp hemorrhage, JADA system, and nitrous oxide. Dress Code: Hot pink and black; may wear black on the bottom, but hot pink on top is preferable. Unit Guidelines and Policies: Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided. Awards and Recognition: Unit of Distinction 2021. TIPQC Pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth. Additional Information: Utilizes a laborist team model with 24/7 midwives and dedicated CRNA and OB on call. Aims to personalize each birth experience to meet patients' desires and needs.
