Associate Director, Commercial Learning - Field Skills

Biogen seeks an experienced commercial learning leader to develop and manage customer engagement skills programs for North America field teams. The role combines strategic capability building with tactical execution, requiring deep pharmaceutical sales knowledge and learning program expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop short and long-term learning strategy for North America customer-facing teams aligned with business priorities
- Define core competencies by role and tenure; design scalable development pathways across onboarding through advanced proficiency
- Design and deliver learning programs in live, virtual, and blended formats on consultative selling and customer engagement
- Establish consistent customer engagement framework; measure effectiveness and connect capability development to performance outcomes
- Partner with field leadership, training teams, and vendors to build integrated coaching ecosystem and identify skill gaps
Requirements
- 8+ years pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience; 5+ years field sales
- 3+ years commercial learning, capability building, or comparable discipline
- Demonstrated experience building programs or functions from ground up
- Multi-brand or multi-therapeutic area capability development experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
- Selling, coaching, or customer engagement methodology certification preferred
- Product launch or specialty care/neuroscience/rare disease experience preferred
Compensation: $171,000-$235,500 base
