Order Selector - 2nd shift

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:The Order Selector will be responsible for retrieving and gathering all required packages for our pending shipping requests. The Order Selector will work diligently to identify orders to pull and maintain a sufficient level of racks/packages for the stand-by shipping line. This position has varying hours according to operational business needs, to include occasional work on both evenings and weekends as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. A formal request process may be obtained from Human Resources.Retrieve zoned shipping requests from the Back Office Pick ListGather empty rolling racks and maintain fully stocked rolling racks for the shipping linePull individual ship requests and stage them neatly and organized on rolling racksRetrieve missing packages from the warehouse as requiredUtilize package action in Back Office to assist in finding UTL packagesPull and deliver freight shipments to the correct shipper according to the freight boardRetrieve and pass out standard shipments evenly to all shippersVerify all pick lists are pulled daily in a timely manner and by order of urgencyMaintain zone cleanliness in all areas of the warehouseMaintain communication with management and the training team regarding any login errorsRetrieve mail docs as requiredAssure safety standards are being utilized, and complies with all company, local, state, and federal guidelinesAttend all Compliance Training Classes and abide by Compliance Policy and ProcedureExude exemplary customer service and consistently maintain a positive attitudeSpecial projects and other responsibilities may be determined and assigned by ManagementMANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:N/APHYSICAL ACTIVITY & REQUIREMENTS:Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waistKneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or kneesCrouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spineReaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any directionStanding: Particularly for sustained periods of timeWalking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distancesPushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward of outwardPulling: Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motionLifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-positionGrasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm of handRepetitive motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersHeavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. – Please Note: When moving objects of 50 pounds of more the company requires a two-person lift technique.
