As a non-profit, Friendship provides a caring community to serve a wide-range of residents including those with limited financial means.Friendship is looking for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to join our Friendship team, located in Roanoke and Salem, VA. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible for administering an occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist.Shifts Available:PRN, as neededRoles & Responsibilities:Execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs in coordination with other departmentsAdhere to departmental, organization and regulatory agency policies and proceduresAssess treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and make adjustment as neededParticipate in program development, quality assurance and improvement effortsSupervise and collaborate with rehab aides/techs, students and others as assignedIdentify areas of opportunity to improve quality of care for residents and/or improve departmental operationsComply with all local, state, federal, and facility policies and proceduresQualifications:Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy requiredValid Occupational Therapy Assistant License requiredExperience in a long-term care/rehabilitation facility preferredMust be able to read, write, speak and understand the English languageThis position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
