Vascular Surgeon

Vascular Surgery locums coverage in Illinois with a mix of inpatient consults, rounding, and outpatient clinic, plus open and endovascular work. Adult patient population with APP support in both clinic and inpatient settings.

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient setting
• Adult patients
• Level 1 trauma cases included, inpatient and outpatient
• Support includes 1 APP plus nursing staff in clinic, 2 APPs for rounding

Schedule

• Monday to Friday clinic, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Night call, not every night
• Some 24 hour weekend call coverage
• Pager call with 30 minute response time

Cases and Procedures

• Vascular surgery care for inpatient and outpatient cases, including Level 1 trauma
• Must be able to perform open vascular procedures
• Must be able to perform endovascular procedures
• Typical volume, 5 to 10 patients per day and 6 outpatient procedures

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery, or Board Eligible within 5 years
• Illinois license required, will not wait for license
• ACLS, BLS, CSR, and DEA required
