Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30-19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active Texas RN License required (temporary licenses not accepted) Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: Labor and delivery experience Recovery experience Immediate newborn care experience Ability to scrub c-sections Meditech experience preferred Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery specialty. The position requires experience in labor and delivery, recovery, and immediate newborn care, including golden hour baby care. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hospital or specialty experience. Nurses must be able to circulate in c-sections and document using the Meditech system. Patient ratios on the unit are 1:1 for pitocin patients and 2:1 for other cases. The unit features 4 labor, delivery, and recovery suites. Candidates should have experience in patient engagement practices, such as AIDET and bedside shift report. Dress code requires neat and clean hair, with no extreme styles or colors. Body art should be covered whenever possible, and visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited. Attendance policies are strictly enforced.
