Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist II provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting for airport technology systems. This role involves installation, configuration, and network issue resolution, supporting Tier 2 operations in a 24/7 environment. The specialist will interact with customers and teams, maintain technical documentation, and ensure smooth operation of IT services across multiple airport campuses. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

Minimum of 3 years of progressive technical support experience.
CompTIA A+ certification.
Strong hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Proficient reading, speaking, and communication skills.
Experience with ticketing systems and Microsoft Excel (basic formatting and formulas).
Knowledge of network basics and operating system troubleshooting.
Ability to climb desks and perform physical tasks related to hardware support.
Valid access to AOA security badging and reliable transportation for campus travel.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience with Node.js, Angular, Ionic, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, GIT, APIs, and Chrome OS.
Familiarity with Drupal, Workday, Salesforce, LocusLabs, AWS, Swift, Azure, Google Cloud, SharePoint, O365, GIS, EAM/CMMS, CLMS, PLC, BAS, MUFIDS, CUPPS, IoT, and airport systems.
Knowledge of security frameworks such as SAML2.0, OAuth 2.0, and other web authentication and authorization techniques.
Experience resolving complex troubleshooting issues and analyzing logs.
Comfortable conducting end-user training and product demonstrations.

Special Considerations:

Must comply with strict security protocols including AOA security access badging.
Position requires physical ability to climb desks and perform hardware tasks.
Must have reliable transportation to travel between airport campuses.
Personnel replacement or substitution requires written authorization from the Contracting Officer.

Scheduling:

Standard shifts (8-hour): 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 12:00 PM 8:30 PM, or 10:00 PM 6:30 AM.
Alternative shifts (10-hour): 5:00 AM 3:30 PM (4 days/week) or 8:00 PM 6:30 AM (4 days/week).
Normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, but shift flexibility is required.
Position supports a 24/7 operation and may require working outside regular hours for coverage.
All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
