Job Summary Job Type: Full Time Job Shift: Night This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care on a per‑shift basis, supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated, support the CNO in ensuring high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective nursing care to all patients. Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control, aiming for optimal patient discharge. Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regimen. Administer medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. Perform and fulfill all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters. Know the hospital’s emergency codes, including purpose and appropriate action, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for each code. Qualifications Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing. Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of RN experience for PRN status. Preferred: Recent acute care experience. Certifications Required: Current nursing license and registration as required by law and state of practice; AHA BLS; if applicable by corporate policy (unit of hire), AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
