Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care

Schedule

Full Time, evening shifts, 5 days per week, including every other weekend and holiday.

Assignment Details

37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association or RQI)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting, according to care plans.
• Maintain resident safety and a clean environment by responding to call lights, preventing falls, and using safety equipment.
• Support residents during meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and honoring food preferences.
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including range of motion exercises and transfers.
• Take and record vital signs, weight, and assist with intake and output measurements.
• Provide companionship and support to residents to meet social and emotional needs.
• Report any changes in resident condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner as per facility protocol.

Compliance / Notes

Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
