You will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating complex respiratory conditions, managing critically ill patients, and seamlessly transitioning between inpatient and outpatient settings. To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Eligible / Board-Certified Pulmonary Critical Care Intensivist Physician with a dedication to providing high-quality care to patients with complex pulmonary and critical illness in a dynamic hospital environment.
- Conducting thorough medical examinations and tests to accurately assess patient conditions, both in pulmonary and critical care settings.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases.
- Managing critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, including ventilation support and advanced life-sustaining therapies.
- Performing pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and critical care procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including other specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Explaining patient conditions, health status, and necessary treatments clearly to patients and their families, fostering understanding and shared decision-making.
- Participating and contributing to comprehensive patient care discussions across both pulmonary and critical care services.
- Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in both pulmonology and critical care medicine.
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care
- Ability to obtain active medical licenses and DEAs in state of Tennessee and Georgia
- AHA ACLS and BLS certifications
