Diesel Technician

Role Overview Diesel Technician serving Whitman, Abington, Duxbury Academy, Norwell, Weymouth, Holbrook, and Rockland school districts. The position is anticipated to open in July at our shop supporting these districts. Responsibilities Perform advanced maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues Complete work orders and required documentation Support mobile emergency service calls as needed Ensure all repairs meet DOT and company safety standards Qualifications 5+ years of hands‑on experience working with diesel, automotive, electric, or CNG vehicles Valid CDL license or willingness to obtain a CDL B with “S” endorsement (training provided) Own a standard mechanic tool set Motivated to grow knowledge through ASE certifications Long‑term stability within a strong union environment Applicable to applicants with or without a college degree, military experience, returning to workforce, or seeking reliable hourly pay (not flat‑rate) Safety This position is safety‑sensitive and subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
