Ensured Care Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic outpatient practice at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) in Arlington, Texas. This full-time position involves engaging with patients in an assisted living facility, focusing on cardiovascular health and providing exceptional care under the guidance of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of life for those with cardiac conditions.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our assisted living facility, fostering a supportive and professional environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with no extended hours, on-call shifts, or weekend duties, thereby promoting a healthy work-life balance. Our office is equipped with advanced cardiology technology and tools to aid in the diagnostics and treatment of our patients, creating an optimal setting for delivering cardiology care.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with attending cardiologists to establish and manage treatment plans for patients.
• Assess and manage patients with common cardiovascular conditions, such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
• Provide outpatient-only Electrophysiology services catered to patients with arrhythmias and those requiring cardiac device management.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
• Administer stress testing, interpret results, and collaborate on management decisions based on findings.
• Prescribe medications and manage acute conditions including coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and congestive heart failure.
• Refer patients to specialized cardiology services when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care is maintained.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily caring for patients within an assisted living environment, which typically includes older adults who are managing chronic health issues, particularly cardiovascular conditions. Your expert care will significantly impact their overall well-being, addressing both routine cardiac management and urgent health concerns.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
• Certification in the relevant specialty area, with relevant continuing education.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cardiology, either in an inpatient or outpatient setting, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically those utilized in cardiology practices, is a plus.
• Experience performing diagnostic tests related to cardiovascular health.

Compensation and Benefits
