Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality service delivery. This role involves coordinating procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships to meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement and Supplier Coordination: 

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. 
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors. 
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues as they arise. 

2. Inventory Management: 

• Track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing costs. 
• Implement inventory control systems to prevent overstocking or stockouts. 
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. 

3. Logistics and Transportation: 

• Coordinate transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery. 
• Monitor shipping schedules and resolve delays or disruptions. 
• Optimize transportation costs while maintaining quality service. 

4. Supply Chain Analysis: 

• Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. 
• Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate supply chain performance. 
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 

5. Collaboration and Communication: 

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., sales, production, and finance) to align supply chain activities with organizational goals. 
• Ensure clear communication with stakeholders regarding order statuses, delivery timelines, and any potential issues. 

6. Compliance and Documentation: 

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. 
• Maintain accurate records, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory reports. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar role. 

• Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools). 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. 

• Effective communication and negotiation skills. 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). 

• Knowledge of industry-specific supply chain practices. 

• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM). 

• Experience supporting companies in equipment leasing, construction, waste management, or industrial services industries

Work Environment:

• Office-based with occasional travel to supplier or logistics partner locations. 

• Fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making and adaptability.
