Registered Nurse Cardiac Step-Down / Telemetry

Shift: Nights 36 hours per week

Duration: 1326 weeks accepted Orientation: 24 hours

Minimum 2 years of cardiac-floor experience required Traveler experience required, unless candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Preferred: prior charge experience Experience with: cardiac telemetry / step-down care, interpretation & management of dysrhythmias, sheath removal / femoral sheath care, post-MI and pre/post cardiac cath care, management and titration of cardiac drips, chest tube care, non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP)

Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients post-cardiac surgery Monitor patients through telemetry for cardiac rhythm changes Interpret EKG readings and manage dysrhythmias Administer medications and titrate cardiac drips as necessary Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Perform assessments and document patient data accurately

Must pass EKG testing prior to start Candidate interview required before offer; provide availability for the next 72 hours with submittal Required pre-start modules must be completed prior to start Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
