Accountant

Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has supported accounting operations within a manufacturing company and understands the financial rhythms of production, inventory, and cost-based accounting. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver reliable financial data that supports day-to-day operations and informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Maintain general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and support AP/AR processes Complete bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and account analysis Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures Assist with inventory accounting, including WIP, cost of goods sold, and production-related expenses Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review Use accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help mentor junior accounting staff as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Accounting experience within a manufacturing company is required (cost accounting, inventory, or production‑related finance experience) Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and general ledger accounting Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar) Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, or standard costing Exposure to SOX compliance and audit support Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting in a manufacturing setting Benefits 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance Paid time off Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid sick time Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
