About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to lead its legal function and play a pivotal role in the executive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal, regulatory, and strategic matters, with a focus on transforming care for underserved communities. This includes overseeing corporate legal and commercial contracting, designing and implementing a comprehensive healthcare compliance program, and managing privacy, data governance, and cybersecurity. The General Counsel will also be a key partner in enterprise risk management, providing clear and practical legal guidance, and will be expected to have a strong background in building and leading legal teams, particularly in a healthcare or regulated industry. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years of legal experience, with a significant portion in an in-house leadership role, ideally within healthcare, health tech, or another regulated industry. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of advising C-suite executives and/or a Board of Directors, as well as experience in managing and developing legal and compliance team members. A deep understanding of Medicaid programs, managed care organizations, and public health frameworks is preferred. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the mission of improving healthcare for underserved communities and will be adept at building legal, compliance, and security infrastructure in a fast-paced, scaling organization.
