As a dedicated member of the OnPath FCU team, this role performs a variety of tasks that in partnership with the surrounding departments, provides cost effective financial services for the benefit of our members who are our primary focus. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Conducts daily business interactions and maintains constant alignment with OnPath’s mission, culture and core values and core behaviors. Initiative and judgment are required in the absence of specific direction from management. Ensures value through decision making that supports credit union goals and interests while upholding OnPath’s service standards and ethics. Increase OnPath’s mortgage lending by assisting customers and members from the loan application process through the closing of the mortgage loan. Leadership Encourage and develop cooperation among peer members to ensure a \"team effort\" and commitment to the established Service Expectations. Leads by example, takes initiative, and is open to change. Help create a positive and consistent attitude in your department by owning issues and following up when necessary. Participate in continuing education as approved. Performs such tasks as may be assigned by his/her supervisor, which is commensurate with the position. Holds self and others accountable for professional and ethical behavior as defined by OnPath Federal Credit Union’s mission, culture, and values. Continually works to expand knowledge of what goes on in other parts of the credit union. Community Participate in community outreach by volunteering to work at different volunteer opportunities presented throughout each year. Major Duties and Responsibilities Successfully complete other department required training within specified time. Satisfy all NMLS requirements to obtain required license (training, testing, and background check). Develop strategic business partners to create a strong referral network. Prospect daily to increase networking and contacts, both face-to-face and telephone contact. Build relationships with customers and OnPath members to provide them with the products and services to meet their needs. Participate in OnPath sponsored events and education classes as applicable. Consistently exceed member expectations. Take thorough loan applications following all applicable regulations. Coordinate all aspects of the mortgage loan application process. Communicate effectively with peers, members, and management. Meet and exceed loan production standards as set annually based on credit union goals and seat goal requirements. Actively cross-sell additional OnPath products and services. Keep promises and commitments, earn and maintain trust of others by acting consistently with words and actions. Perform such tasks as may be assigned by his/her supervisor, which is commensurate with the position. Knowledge and Skills Experience: Preferred three-year previous mortgage origination experience. Education/Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of education and work experience in sales and/or real estate. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills. Other Skills: Exceptional work ethic; strong oral and written communication skills; superb listening skills; good presentation skills; foundational sales skills; quality team player. Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; database management preferred but not required; experience with CALYX or other Mortgage Loan Origination System; knowledge of the mortgage and/or real estate market a plus. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
