Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, the Food & Beverage Coordinator assists in the daily operation of the Food & Beverage Department by providing on-site leadership and support for concessions, the kitchen, and bar operations. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety and operational standards, and providing training and direction to food and beverage staff during events and tournaments.
Qualifications Must be able to uphold and enforce Park Districts Policies and Procedures and be able to provide work direction and supervision. BASSET Certification, Food Handlers Certification and a high school diploma are required. Exemplary communication skills and ability to work with the public are essential. Individuals must be able to provide quality customer service by demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities This person's duties shall include, but not be limited to:
Pre-requisite Cognitive skills to follow both written and verbal direction Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time Manual labor; light to moderate lifting Ability to work in a diverse climate and environment Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule; varying shifts, evening, weekends and holidays are necessary Staff Supervision/Training: Provide daily direction and leadership to concessions, kitchen, and bar staff during assigned shifts Train new employees on proper operating procedures, customer service expectations, food safety practices, and point of sale system Monitor employee performance during shifts and provide coaching as needed. Communicate operational concerns and employee performance issues to the Food & Beverage Supervisor Maintain open communication with supervisors and facility staff to ensure successful event operations Reporting: Assist with monitoring inventory levels and notifying the Food & Beverage Supervisor when supplies need replenishment Ensure workstations remain organized, clean, and fully stocked throughout each shift Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries Other Duties: Crosstrain in multiple Food & Beverage service areas to provide operational flexibility Related support as needed
