Behavioral Health Technician (WO)

Job Summary Provides direct behavioral health patient care by performing a variety of activities for patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with performing activities of daily living. Provide or assist with direct patient care and therapeutic interventions based on patient care assignments from RN. Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan. Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Apply knowledge of group dynamics in participating in therapeutic groups and maintaining the milieu. Monitor patients to ensure safety, including but not limited to rounding, environmental and safety checks. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in behavioral health or a related field, or equivalent years of experience and education. No experience required. Physical requirements: constant standing and walking, frequent use of hearing, speech, vision, lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects 0-25 lbs, frequent use of keyboard, occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting/pushing/pulling objects 25-50 lbs, occasional driving, etc. State of work location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin. Required professional license and/or certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA). Work Shift and Hours Day Shift (United States of America).
