Database Administrator

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Database Administrator for a leading healthcare organization. This individual will join a highly visible database team responsible for supporting Epic Cogito reporting infrastructure and enterprise SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Epic Clarity, Caboodle, SQL Server administration, and ETL support within a healthcare setting. This is a critical backfill position supporting a growing reporting landscape and offers the opportunity to influence modernization initiatives, enhance reporting capabilities, and contribute to future-state data strategies. The team is looking for a motivated, forward-thinking professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving innovation, and partnering across infrastructure, Epic, and analytics teams. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administer and support Epic Cogito database environments including Clarity and Caboodle
- Monitor and maintain SQL Server database infrastructure across multiple environments
- Support Epic ETL processes, extracts, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot database, ETL, and reporting infrastructure issues
- Partner with Epic teams and reporting stakeholders to ensure reliability of reporting platforms
- Coordinate database upgrades, Epic version updates, and certification compliance activities
Support enterprise reporting initiatives and collaborate with data warehouse teams as needed
- Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and database optimization efforts
- Serve as a senior technical resource on a small, highly visible database team

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of database administration experience
- Epic Cogito Certification (Clarity and/or Caboodle)
- SQL Server database administration experience (performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting)
- Experience supporting ETL processes, data warehousing, and enterprise reporting/analytics environments.
