As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. You will provide clear communication, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment through Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM Tue – 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points; assist with visitor direction and access control procedures as assigned. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least one year of security-related experience. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is required. Be at least 21 years of age for role. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
