Responsibilities:Perform HVAC, mechanical, fire protection and piping systems concept developmentGenerate mechanical design calculations including HVAC equipment sizing and pipe sizing calculations.Create P&IDs and Block Flow DiagramsFormulate design criteria to be used in the development of project design specifications and drawingsGenerate specifications for systems and equipmentProvide quality oversight for mechanical designs performed by othersAct as the main point of contact for the mechanical discipline when meeting with the project manager, other discipline leads, and the customer.Train and mentor less experienced engineers and designersCoordinate details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplinesGenerate mechanical engineering hour estimates to complete ongoing work and for new proposalsPerform field/site visits as needed. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline is required5 + years' experience in mechanical engineering with applicable experience on heavy industrial and manufacturing type projects.P.E. license or E.I.T. certificate requiredWorking knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCADDemonstrated understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, IBC, ISO, NFPA)Experience in leading a team of engineers and designersWritten and verbal communication skills required in cross functional collaborationProficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint#LI-JJ1
