Position Summary Under general supervision of the Director of Student Life and the Dean of Students, the Coordinator performs Student Services Professional (SSP) work, overseeing all aspects of training, coordination, and processes for Registered Student Organizations (Clubs), Office of Student Life event coordination, and student organization event support. Key Responsibilities RSO Event Support/Jackpot Funding – 30% Marketing and outreach to student organizations regarding available funding. Develop and oversee Jackpot Funding student board and approved funding applications. Manage post‑allocation processes for funding board allocations, reimbursements, and payments. Develop assessments for student organization events. Support registered student organization event planning. Meet with funded student organizations to review expectations and procedures. Provide initial risk management review of proposed events. Develop and implement assessments related to RSO involvement, including end‑of‑year reports. Lead approval of student organization events through the 25Live Platform. Assist coordination of all relevant Office of Student Life programs and initiatives. Collaborate and support programming sponsored by the Office of Student Life and the Dean of Students Office. Coordinate and implement campus spirit initiatives with collaborators across campus. Support marketing efforts of Student Life events and programs, including co‑sponsorships with the Gutswurrak Student Activities Center. Lead, coordinate, and promote engagement programs and events co‑sponsored by the Office of Student Life and the Gutswurrak Student Activities Center. Club/RSO Onboarding and Coordination – 30% Coordinate RSO onboarding, including training on event processes, RSO manual policies, and resources. Provide leadership development through formal events, one‑on‑one meetings, conflict resolution, and mentorship. Track active RSOs and ensure they meet activation requirements. Advocate for student organizations in collaboration with Student Life leadership. Stay apprised of executive orders, state, and federal laws affecting RSOs. Office of Student Life Coordination – 30% Recruit, hire, train, and lead Office of Student Life student staff. Oversee OSL social media accounts and emails. Serve on campus committees relevant to the Student Organization Funding Board or other campus events. Data Management – 5% Oversee data collection and database management for student organization events and Office of Student Life programs. Review and approve student organization events submitted through the events office. Other Duties as Assigned – 5% Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of program practices, procedures, and activities, and extensive knowledge of organizational and program management. General knowledge of research and interview techniques, and principles of individual and group behavior. Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations. Initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and implementing long‑range improvements. Collect, compile, analyze, and evaluate data; provide verbal or written presentations. Advise students individually and in groups on routine matters. Recognize and work within multicultural, multisexed and multi‑aged value systems. Establish cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, student organizations, agencies, and others. Acquire broad knowledge of campus operations and functions rapidly. Make decisions and actions that have implications for other program or service areas. Minimum Qualifications Experience: Equivalent to two (2) years of professional experience in student services or related field; a master’s degree may substitute one year of experience. Education: Graduation from a four‑year college or university in behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related field; additional specialized experience may substitute for education on a one‑for‑one basis. Preferred Qualifications Involvement, training, and professional understanding of NACA and its competencies.
