Quality Control ManagerThis position shall have overall responsibility for the contractor's quality control management program to include maintaining and overseeing the quality control management program for entire contract.Primary Job FunctionsDirect and administer the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Program in accordance with USACE contract requirements and project-specific Quality Control Plans.Ensure strict compliance with contract drawings, specifications, UFC criteria, EM 385-1-1, applicable NFPA, ICC, ASHRAE, NEC, and healthcare regulatory requirements.Lead Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up Control Phase Meetings for all definable features of work.Verify construction activities comply with approved submittals, design intent, manufacturer requirements, and contract documents before work proceeds.Develop and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including daily QC reports, testing records, inspection reports, deficiency logs, corrective actions, and turnover documentation.Coordinate all third-party inspections, commissioning activities, testing, balancing, and validation efforts required by the contract.Manage submittal compliance, ensuring materials, equipment, and systems receive required Government approvals before installation.Lead quality planning activities with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, designers, and commissioning personnel.Identify quality risks early and implement corrective actions before they affect schedule, cost, or Government acceptance.Monitor construction progress to ensure quality objectives support milestone completion, beneficial occupancy, and final acceptance.Coordinate directly with Government Quality Assurance personnel to resolve quality concerns quickly and professionally.Mentor field staff and subcontractors regarding USACE quality management expectations and contractual compliance.Administer quality control management programResponsible for overall quality assurance programMonitor and inspect all delivery orders for complianceMaintain records of inspections and certificationsPrepare monthly reports depicting findings of quality inspectionsPeriodically review the quality control program to ensure complianceExamine processes for preventative and corrective maintenance; make suggestions based on findingsPerform inspections and re-inspections to ensure problems have been resolvedCollect data for the DMLSS system entry by the Government.Research safety and quality topics onlineMay prepare incident and accident reportsMay be tasked with preparing training materials and conducting employee quality and/or safety meetingsMay manage the disposal of hazardous wasteMay research and issue infection control and interim Life Safety permitsMay train personnel on material control and equipment and tool managementOther duties as assignedEducation, Experience and CertificationRequired/Preferred Education Level Description Required Associate Degree related degree - Required/Preferred - Education Level - Description - Required - Associate Degree - related degreeRequired/Preferred Years of Experience Description Required Preferred 5 years 5 Years Must have 5 years' experience and proficiency with USACE's RMS Resident Management System Must have 5 years' experience working in healthcare facilities similar to Hospitals / Clinics / Dental clinics Sterile processing and or laboratory clean room.
