Construction Quality Control ManagerRQ is currently seeking experienced Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCMs) to join our growing Field Operations team in Norfolk, VA. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring construction projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with the highest quality standards, with an emphasis on Department of Defense projects. This role may involve second-shift schedules depending on project demands. Local candidates are strongly preferred; however, relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.As a Construction Quality Control Manager, you will oversee the implementation and management of project-specific quality control programs. Responsibilities include coordinating inspections, maintaining quality documentation, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and supporting positive client relationships throughout all phases of construction. This role is essential to maintaining RQ's commitment to excellence, safety, and client satisfaction.This position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000–$140,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchOpportunities for professional developmentA collaborative and team-oriented work environmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in positions such as Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on comparable construction projectsAt least 3 years of dedicated experience serving as a Construction Quality Control ManagerWorking knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements, hazard identification, compliance procedures, and sustainability practicesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer/internet applicationsExperience with Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS software platforms is a plusMaritime construction experience preferred but not requiredSince 1996, RQ has established itself as a leading Design-Build contractor serving both commercial and government clients across the United States and internationally.
