Lab Technician

Job Description
Viridian Staffing's ( Client is looking for Laboratory Technicians to support a licensed, independent cannabis testing facility about 20 minutes south of the Lowell, Massachusetts, area. This is an on-site temporary role with the potential to convert to regular, full-time employment based on business volume and performance. The schedule runs Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 AM-7:30 PM, and we currently anticipate hiring two people.

In this role, you'll become a key part of daily lab operations-receiving client samples, logging them accurately, and preparing them for analysis. Your day will include careful labeling of vials/tubes, homogenizing material, and performing repetitive, precision weighing to exacting standards. You'll handle pipetting (training provided) and follow written SOPs to keep the workflow moving, the documentation clean, and the chain-of-custody intact. You'll also interface with common lab tools-balances and label printers-and you may work within the METRC system to help keep records organized and compliant (experience with METRC is preferred but not required).

You're someone who takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, and doing things the right way-every time. While prior laboratory experience is helpful, success here really starts with your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and reliability for the posted schedule. You're comfortable on your feet for stretches of the day, performing fine-motor tasks, and can occasionally lift and move up to 25-30 lbs. You're organized, tech-comfortable, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment where accuracy and documentation matter.

Because this is a regulated environment, you must be 21+ and authorized to work in the U.S. You'll also need to successfully complete any required background checks with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) and obtain a Laboratory Agent registration/agent card. The facility provides PPE-lab coats, gloves, safety glasses/face shields.
