This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in property accounting while partnering with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and portfolio performance.What’s in it for you?Work directly with property management and executive teams to influence business decisions.Gain visibility across a diverse real estate portfolio.Play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis.Utilize your accounting expertise to improve processes and controls.Collaborate with stakeholders across accounting, operations, and property management.Opportunity to identify trends, provide recommendations, and drive financial performance.Join a dynamic environment where your insights and expertise are highly valued.Contribute to strategic initiatives and portfolio growth.Key responsibilities:Review and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties.Ensure accuracy of property-level accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.Partner with property managers and leadership to explain financial results and variances.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Identify accounting discrepancies, process improvements, and internal control enhancements.Support month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of accounting experience within property management, real estate, or commercial/residential property environments.Strong understanding of property financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis.Proficiency in Excel and accounting/property management software (Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar preferred).Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both accounting and operations teams.Preferred experience:Multi-family, commercial, HOA, or real estate portfolio accounting experience.Experience reviewing financials for multiple properties and ownership groups.
