Assess resident’s recreational and social needs. Support development of the monthly Activity Calendar of Events. Lead small, large, and one-on-one activity programs with seniors. Research and recommend entertainment/educational speakers, church representatives, etc. to the Coordinator. Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures, and accompany residents on field trips as assigned. Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support resident programming. Report maintenance needs in a timely manner. Drive the Community Van. Perform other duties as assigned. Activities Assistant Qualifications: Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services, or long‑term care facility serving a senior population. Memory Care experience preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Currently possess a Class C license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Ability to use basic Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs. Creativity in developing and planning activity programs. Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one‑on‑one, small, and large group activities. Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident’s best interest. *Preferred Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off.
