- POSITION SUMMARY TheParent/BabyProgramSupervisoris responsible forsupervising Youth Development Specialists (YDS)and overseeingthe implementation and ongoing daily activities in the Parent/Baby residential program. This position will develop and cultivate a robust community partnership function where parenting youth have opportunities for frequent engagement with external programs to ensure ongoing support in their parenting journey once they discharge from the program.Program Supervisors support staff in keepingyouth (and their children)physically and emotionally safewhileproviding exceptional service according to established plans and regulatory standards.Program SupervisorsensuretheYouth DevelopmentSpecialistsareengagingin activities and furthering the impact of treatment goals, specifically ensuring youth and their children experience opportunities for community engagement.This role requires an ability to develop therapeutic relationships withyouth, engage and supportstaff,and partner with internal and external colleagues.This position also requires the ability to be flexible in scheduling and provide on-call crisis support.
- ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct supervision of YDS including regular performance management, individual supervision, and coachingin accordance withestablished Agency policies and practice.
- Ensure all documentation and paperworkisaccurately completed
- Support onboardingand training of youthdevelopment specialists
- Coach and modelSanctuarywith daily tasks, program development, and staff/youth engagement.
- Ensure medications are accurately distributedin accordance withDABSJ policies and procedures.
- Ability to be available foron-callduties.
- Model and coach de-escalation and coping skills forYouth Development Specialists.
- Ensure restrictive interventions are done according to agency and state policies, practices, and procedures.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Facilitate a therapeutic environment that focuses on the youth’s treatment plan using atrauma- responsiveapproach.
- Provide program leadership for staff.
- Facilitate a culture of exceptional client care which meets or exceeds contract, licensing, and accreditation standards.
- Provide coaching and leadership fordevelopmentspecialistsincluding strategies that build capacity to respond effectively tothe needsof the youth.
- Participate in interviewingyouthdevelopment specialistcandidates.
- Develop andmaintaina working knowledge and understanding of all relevantcontract, accreditation, and regulatory standards and ensure the work ofdevelopment specialistsmeets those standards.
- Cultivate community partnerships with other youth serving organizations, with specific emphasis on programs tailored to parenting youth.
- Develop andmaintaineffective working relationships with colleagues.
- Perform other Agency responsibilities asset forth inAgency personnel policies as amended.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Human Services field.
- 2 years of experience providing direct care in a Child Caring Institution.
- Demonstrated skills in program development, preferably in a human service organization.
- Experience in cultivating community partnerships and cross-organization collaborative projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of the strengths, needs,challenges,and resilience of children,youth,and families.
- Demonstrated experience or ability to work with school, court, behavioral health, and child welfare partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a rapidlychanging, fast paced, high intensity environment.
- Ability toworka flexible schedule according to the needs of theprogram.
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and basic competence in computer use and electronic case management and clinical record systems.
- Valid driver’s license,good drivingrecordand adequate insurance with a reliable vehicle available.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness to the diversity ofclient’ssocioeconomic and cultural experiences with the ability toestablishmeaningful relationships with people from various cultures.
- Satisfactorily meet background screening standards.
- Positive acceptance of supervision to learn and be trained in job-related functions.
