Make an impact supporting students’ communication skills in a dynamic school environment near High Point, NC. This contract position is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist eager to work within educational settings, providing essential services to help students succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP licensure for North Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Prior experience working in a school setting, preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Position Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs through screenings and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans based on IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student goals
- Conduct direct therapy sessions, incorporating engaging activities tailored to each student
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering clinical input and recommendations
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
