The Accounting Assistant is responsible for all day-to-day operational and transactional accounting activities related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This person is also responsible for assisting in some administrative activities such as sorting mail, answering front desk calls, and greeting visitors. Other duties may be requested as needed.

Accounts Payable Details:

Match, Code, and Enter Vendor Invoices

Communicate with Purchasing regarding invoice issues

Prepare Vendor Payments

Accounts Receivable Details:

Gather & Organize Customer Payments

Enter Customer Payments

Communicate with sales regarding customer balance issues

Perform Collections and follow-ups on a weekly basis

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• High level of detail and accuracy with data entry is critical
• Requires experience in accounting or ERP software.
• Analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to make confident decisions are also required.
• Broad knowledge of accounting procedures and principles, typing skills and 10 key adding machine by touch.
