Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive telemetry nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while monitoring vital signs and cardiac activity. Works collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care across assigned units.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs to promptly identify changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding their condition and care process.
• Float to different units, including Downtown MercyOne, to support staffing needs and maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in telemetry nursing or a related acute care setting.
• Ability to interpret EKGs and cardiac telemetry data accurately.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday, with floating responsibilities as needed.
