Public Health Analyst

Public Health AnalystAlpha Omega is seeking a qualified Public Health Analyst to join our talented and innovative team supporting a project in Atlanta, GA. This role is 100% remote.Responsibilities:Perform routine data management tasks (data cleaning, data processing, merging data files).Perform complex and advanced statistical analyses. Prepare reports, manuscripts, briefing materials, etc.Contribute to the development of data management and data analyses plans; procedures for data collection (including recommendations among different sampling plans, data sources, and cost/time investments).Prepare written reports explaining data analysis.Required Experience:Knowledge of public health promotion programsConduct analysis and interpretation of data using SAS, R, SPSSProficiency with a data visualization platform, such as PowerBI, or TableauDetail oriented and able to create meticulous documentation of variables, datasets and data attributes with a commitment to generating accurate data and products.Ability to create tables, figures, and summaries for reportsProactive and problem-solving approach to challengesStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to prioritize, multi-task, and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain a Public Trust ClearanceAbility to follow established analytic plans and support development of new analysesPreferred Qualifications:R and Python skills are preferred for data management and basic statistical analysisKnowledge of behavioral and social science research methodsExperience supporting research reports, presentations, or manuscriptsFamiliarity with data analysis software such as NVivoFamiliarity with survey data and weighting conceptsEducation:Associate's degree in health informatics, public health, statistics, or related field and or bachelor's and 6 years of experience, or master's degree and 2 years or PhDSalary and Benefit Information:The likely salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
