Compensation: Starting at $23.09 per hour, based on education and experience.

What You'll Do as a Plant Technician 3

• Perform plant operations and maintenance tasks to keep facility and building systems running safely and efficiently.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical and building equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
• Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Communicate courteously and effectively with staff, patients, families, and visitors, working within the chain of command.
• Deliver exceptional customer service across every interaction.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
• Skills & Abilities: Strong communication skills; ability to work within the chain of command using positive verbal and non-verbal techniques. Competence in performing plant operations and maintenance tasks. Exceptional customer service for patients, families, staff, and physicians.

Physical & Work Environment

• Continuous standing and walking, often 8+ hours per shift; frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, and reaching.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 50+ lbs; manual dexterity and mobility required.
• Frequent hand, finger, and wrist repetition; near visual acuity and close eye work.
• Exposure to hazards from electrical, mechanical, and power equipment; chemicals; and unpleasant elements such as slippery or uneven surfaces.
• Work in vibration-prone and cramped spaces for extended periods.
• Subject to occasional extended hours and emergencies as facility needs require.
