Project Manager – Commercial/Industrial/Multi-Family Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project teams, budgets, schedules, client relationships, and project execution while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and OSHA compliance.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with field personnel.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Project Management

• Manage projects from planning through closeout.
• Build relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and documentation.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractors, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Track project costs and maintain profitability.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting.

Construction Oversight

• Monitor field operations for quality and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor activities.
• Resolve construction issues proactively.
• Manage inspections, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Support project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation.

Client Relations

• Serve as the primary client contact.
• Provide consistent project updates.
• Build long-term relationships through exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and building codes.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong financial and cost-control skills.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and build client relationships.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.
