Registered Veterinary Technician

VCA Apex Animal Hospital is hiring a full‑time Registered Veterinary Technician (or RVT eligible) to join the team at our AAHA‑accredited practice! About Us We are an AAHA‑accredited canine and feline practice with a caring and supportive team. We offer primary care, surgery, dentistry, and more. Our hours are Monday—Friday 7:30am–5pm, Saturday 8am–2pm, and we are closed on Sunday. Our large property shares a building with a large animal hospital, providing a dynamic practice environment. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $21.00 – $22.00/hour, based on skill set, experience, and licensure status. Medical, dental, vision, and pet‑care insurance. 401(k) retirement plan. Schedule: Monday—Friday 7:30am–5pm; Saturday 8am–2pm; Sunday closed. Responsibilities Perform physical examinations and patient assessment. Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures. Prepare patients for surgery and assist during operations. Provide dentistry services. Conduct radiology and laboratory work. Perform venipuncture and catheter placement. Assist with pharmacy duties. Ensure patient recovery and monitor postoperative care. Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals. Qualifications One year of experience in veterinary medicine and proficiency in the skills listed above are ideal, but we are happy to train the right candidate. Veterinary Technology students who are completing their training are encouraged to apply. Position is open to Registered Veterinary Technicians and RVT candidates.
