Locums Family Medicine Physician Assistant

Overview We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage in St. Ignace, Michigan. This outpatient opportunity offers a consistent four-day workweek with no call or weekend responsibilities, making it an excellent assignment for providers seeking work-life balance. Position Details Assignment Start: Tentatively August 3, 2026 Assignment Length: Minimum 12 weeks Schedule: Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour shifts Call: None Weekends: None Practice Setting: Outpatient Primary Care Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric Patient Volume: Approximately 18–22 patients per day EMR: Epic Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for adult and geriatric patients. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform preventive care, wellness visits, and chronic disease management. Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues. Perform pelvic exams and Pap smears. Complete disability examinations as needed. Order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
