Description The Assistant Project Manager - Design-Build Contractor - MD will be responsible for: Assisting Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Supporting budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Working closely with design teams, owners, architects, engineers, and field personnel to ensure project objectives, schedules, and budgets are achieved. Monitoring project progress, tracking costs, and helping identify and resolve potential issues to keep projects on track. Coordinating meetings, maintaining project records, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with company safety standards, contract requirements, and quality control initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. Assisting with project buyout, vendor and subcontractor negotiations, and closeout activities including punch list completion and turnover documentation. Profile The Assistant Project Manager - Design-Build Contractor - MD will have: 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with a general contractor or design-build firm. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Experience supporting projects through various phases of construction, including preconstruction, procurement, and project execution. Knowledge of construction contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost control processes. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. A detail-oriented, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with design-build project delivery, healthcare, higher education, federal, multifamily, or other commercial project types is a plus. Job Offer The Assistant Project Manager - Design-Build Contractor - MD will receive: Competitive base salary up to $90,000, plus an end-of-year bonus opportunity. The opportunity to work directly with senior leadership on a diverse portfolio of projects, including government renovations, airport hangars, and other commercial developments. 15 days (120 hours) of paid time off, plus seven paid holidays annually.
