About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in high acuity postpartum care License: Valid compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: High Risk Obstetric care experience Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy Experience with Pitocin administration Experience with postpartum hemorrhage management Ability to manage 4 couplets Description: Candidates with a compact license who have been separated from previous facilities for at least 3 months are eligible. First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years' experience. Applicants must be able to handle a census surge and float to various units as needed. The unit handles a large volume of high-risk obstetric patients. The patient population is diverse, requiring postpartum treatment following delivery. Experience with substance withdrawal and JADA is preferred. Epic experience is mandatory and will be closely screened. Travelers should expect to float between assigned facilities and refusal to float may lead to contract termination. Candidates are required to commit to working a specified number of weekends and holidays. References covering recent experience will be required during the application process.
