Builder Team Manager

The Builder Team Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring consistent execution of the Snyder Diamond service standard, and maintaining operational excellence. This role leads to a highly task‑oriented sales team environment, ensuring associates are trained, accountable, and consistently executing against defined expectations. Success in this role requires disciplined follow‑through, active coaching, data‑driven performance management, and hands‑on leadership. Core Responsibilities Conduct weekly one‑on‑one performance meetings with each sales associate using Daily/Weekly/Monthly Performance Summaries Drive sales performance improvement, including issuing and managing Performance Agreements for associates below standard Complete two formal sales observations per associate per month, with immediate feedback and documentation filed with HR Provide ongoing coaching based on direct observation of selling behaviors, strengths, and development areas Set annual collaborative goals with each associate at the beginning of the year or upon hire Ensure associates consistently confirm appointments and follow up on quotes Monitor CRM usage, including accuracy of desired dates and next call dates, with review conducted at least twice weekly per associate Actively support the sales team in closing business; maintain a visible and effective presence during key sales opportunities 2. Reporting, Analytics & Business Management Review and discuss individual performance rankings weekly with all sales associates Present and review: Written vs. delivered sales (monthly) Sales to goal (monthly) Product line and margin performance (monthly) Open bookings and pipeline health (monthly) Profitability by department and associate (regular cadence) Utilize dashboards and reporting tools to drive accountability and decision‑making Develop the annual sales budget using historical data, pipeline analysis, and goal‑setting inputs 3. Business Development & Client Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships within the trade community Actively participate in industry events and organizations (e.g., NKBA, ASID, KBIS, ISH, BIA) Conduct regular outreach (meetings, calls) with key clients to understand needs and ensure exceptional service delivery Set annual new business goals for each individual sales team member Develop a strategy to continually prospect for new business Track performance of outside sales efforts Meet weekly with the sales team to ensure they are hitting and exceeding business development goals 4. Cross‑Functional Coordination Coordinate with operations on project issues, client requests, and escalations Participate in monthly operations meetings to review performance and identify improvements Review and approve return authorizations in accordance with company policy Recruit and identify talent for the sales team, including proactive outreach Ensure structured onboarding for new hires, including tools, systems access, and training plans Track and enforce completion of all required training programs Conduct biannual performance evaluations for all direct reports Hold quarterly one‑on‑one engagement meetings (e.g., lunches) with direct reports to gather feedback and support development Schedule weekly vendor‑led product knowledge trainings to strengthen team expertise 6. Operational Discipline & Accountability Maintain team accountability through task management tools (e.g., Monday.com), ensuring tasks are assigned and updated regularly Review unallocated/available inventory weekly and address through team communication and sales focus Recognize and strengthen client relationships through quarterly appreciation outreach Present store performance and results at monthly leadership meetings Execution and task management discipline Sales coaching and performance accountability Cross‑functional collaboration Client relationship management Qualifications 10 years of sales management experience 5+ years in appliance/ plumbing industry #J-18808-Ljbffr Snyder Diamond
