Obesity Intelligence & Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Director,

Director-level analytics leader needed to guide commercial strategy for Amgen's U.S. obesity business. The role involves translating market, customer, and performance data into executive-ready insights, managing the secondary analytics agenda, and partnering across functions to inform brand strategy and business decisions. Position based in Thousand Oaks, California, with flexible commuting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic analytics advisory to senior commercial leadership on market dynamics and business performance
- Develop and prioritize secondary analytics agenda for U.S. obesity business aligned with commercial milestones
- Integrate internal and external data to generate insights on HCP behavior, product adoption, and competitive dynamics
- Translate analytical findings into recommendations for brand strategy, market development, and resource allocation
- Lead executive performance management, scenario planning, and investigative analyses to identify business drivers
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 4 years analytics experience, or Master's with 7 years, or Bachelor's with 9 years
- Secondary data and advanced analytics experience in biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Ability to translate complex evidence into clear recommendations for senior leaders
- Commercial strategy experience in market development, launch readiness, or brand performance
- Healthcare data integration experience with prescription, claims, patient, or HCP data sources
- Cross-functional team leadership and external partner management capability
- Executive-level communication skills for complex analytical concepts
