Entry-Level Technology Specialist

Our client seeks an entry-level technology specialist for the chemical and material technologies group within the prosecution and counseling department, available in Boston, New York, or Washington, DC. The role involves reviewing technical disclosures, conducting literature and patent database searches, and drafting assessments and patent applications. Responsibilities also include preparing responses to USPTO communications, developing patentability arguments, and reviewing patents for IP due diligence during mergers or acquisitions.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science, with strong judgment, work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaboration with business leaders, attorneys, scientists, and patent examiners.

The annual salary range is $145,000 to $155,000, with actual compensation based on experience and other factors.
