Position Details

Location: Vestal, NY

Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)

Start Date: Every two weeks due to orientation schedule

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated nursing professional to join our Long-Term Care facility. The ideal candidate will possess experience in skilled nursing, particularly with a focus on Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform medication passes accurately and safely.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.

Qualifications

• Active New York State nursing license (proof required at submission).
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing.
• Ability to pass a medication administration test and clinical observation.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Able to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend may be required based on facility needs.
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application; requests made after the offer will not be approved.
• All shifts begin 15 minutes prior and end 15 minutes after the scheduled time.

Additonal Information

• Orientation sessions are conducted every two weeks; missing orientation is not permitted.
• Modules (non-billable, up to 30 hours) must be completed three days prior to the start date.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Canadian citizens cannot be accepted for this position.

Attire: Any solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes.

Patient Care Details
