Position Details

• Role: School-Based Occupational Therapist Assistant
• Location: Citrus County, Florida
• Salary: $27.00 - $32.00 an hour (depending on experience)
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday during normal school hours, 1,400 hours per year (Work-life balance!)
• Calendar: Follow the school scheduleholidays and breaks included
• Want to earn more? During school breaks, therapists have the opportunity to work in our outpatient clinics in an as-needed basis!

What You'll Do

• Evaluate students and identify strengths and areas of need
• Create engaging, individualized therapy plans connected to IEP goals
• Provide fun, functional therapy sessions in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings
• Support students with:
• Fine motor and handwriting skills
• Sensory processing and self-regulation
• Visual-motor integration
• Daily living and adaptive skills
• Classroom participation and independence
• Collaborate with teachers, families, counselors, and support staff
• Recommend adaptive tools, sensory strategies, and classroom accommodations
• Participate in IEP meetings and help advocate for student success
• Celebrate milestones big and small with students and families
• Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Florida OT license
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Pediatric or school-based experience is a plus
• A team player with creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude
• Someone who can turn therapy into meaningful, motivating experiences for students
