Medical Assistant
Immediate contract position available for our OBGYN physician practice group in Deer Park, NY.
Note: Experience in OBGYN preferred
Pay Rate: $23.00/hr Work Schedule:
- 8:30am - 4:30pm (Monday)
- 9:00am - 5:00pm (Tuesday)
- 12:00pm - 8:00pm (Thursday)
- 8:00am - 4:00pm (Friday)
- 32 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Obtain the patient's medical history and document in the electronic medical record
- Medical chart review, assisting providers, rooming patients, taking patient vital signs, phlebotomy and preparation of exam rooms
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, as needed
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Experience in OBGYN preferred
- BLS Certification
- Be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- EPIC system experience a plus
