Love Help Care Family Support LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. - Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
